This piece was inspired by two things. The first was an invitation to participate in a teapot
show whose theme was 'Steeped In Thought' and the other thing was an actual tea box that I
have that my father brought back from China. In it are four containers of tea and two small
porcelain cups. The card that was tucked into the box had 'bon voyage' written on it. My tea
box also has two small cups and four containers of tea; clarity, lucidity, profundity, absurdity.
