Grace's Restaurant

Houston TX

49" x 46" window panel to the bar

Ed Eubanks, architect

Grace's Restaurant is a tribute to the owner's grandmother whose recipe's are the fare. The architect wanted a more homey approach to the space, as if guests were dining at home, and so the space is divided up into smaller dining rooms as opposed to one large area. The bar area is a little more upscale and so they wanted a more decorative entrance. The diamonds in the border of the carved glass reflect an architectural detail on Grace's original home while the lace etching in the background refers to her collection of old lace.
